UPDATE: As of 08/21

Hi!

More great news to report: On Monday (8/21/06) we were able to hold Daniel for the first time! It was, of course, awesome! Here are a few photos to tide you over until we can get to the computer long enough to set up some photo albums. Catherine and Grace are still having fun visiting the hospital waiting room as it has some books and toys for them to play with, as well as a television so they can keep up with their favorite cartoons. The photo of Daniel by himself shows him with a Beanie Baby unicorn by his feet. They use these toys to help keep the babies snuggled and propped up in certain positions (rolled over on their left or right sides). Beanie Babies are small enough and just the right weight to keep the preemies feeling comfy. Lastly, there are a couple of pictures of Daniel being held for the first time. We try to take most photos without using the flash so that we don't disturb him any more than we have to, but just before they put him back in his bed, we were able to snap one the some light.

Thanks for all the wonderful emails and calls and offers for help! If Daniel continues to do well, we will be able to hold him more often, and we will begin taking you up on those offers for help! We have asked God's blessing for you all; you have given us such a sense of peace. We are positive that this is the best medicine for all of us, and we feel so truly blessed.
